MEDIA PLAYER TECHNOLOGIES
For a more detailed analysis of the Windows Media Player (WMP) for Internet Radio, please refer to my original post on that topic. Below is a report of a trial with WMP on some specific media types.
As a trial run, I accessed Internet radio station Seaford Surf Radio that offers compatibility with 3 players via an in –site click through: WINamp, Windows Media Player (WMP), and Real Player. This trial is designed to test and compare WMP, and a file was downloaded to my PC with a “listen-2.m3u file name”. I then attempted to run this file and received this error message via the player:
“Windows Media Player cannot play the file. One or more codecs required to play the file could not be found.”
The file did open up and run on a second player known as the VLC player, but offered very little interactivity or metadata capability.
Switching back to the Real Player, the file once again downloaded properly and I was able to listen to the SSR stream with no difficulties.
At this time, I don’t know the solution to this issue, so more experimentation and research will be required, and hoefully I can post more useful information in a future blog post.
Yoga for Health, Happiness and Liberation presented by Yogi Bharat Gajjar and Meeta Gajjar Parker (Part Two)
Meeta says that there were approximately 275 shows presented through the cable affiliate. We are presenting a number of them through this online upload to youtube, facebook, Instagram, and here on my blog I will feature some.
